Dear Family,

Wow. This week has been quite an adventure! I really liked all of your letters, except I didnt get one from dad again this week! You alright dad? Anyways sounds like yall had a sweet “snow day” and a great week. Josh told me some news about the world about egypt and of anderson cooper getting jumped, send me a picture. You are all probably waiting for the exciting news of the week with what happened with transfers…… Im training!!! As they say in our mission, Im gonna have a kid! Im really excited too but I have no idea about who he is or what he´s going to be like but I think he will arrive tomorrow night, thats what theyre telling me. I called Elder Perez and I said youre gonna be a grandpa!! He laughed really hard and was excited to hear the news, he only has 6 weeks left, I dont know if Ill be able to see him before he goes.. I sure hope so! I hope you liked my voice recording by the way and the pics. The one of the bus and I is more for Megan because I remember that she asked me for a pic of the double decker buses that they have here and so I got one.

The work in our area is going really good I´ve been getting more and more excited to work here. Remember the family I told yall about last week that had the little girl that died? Not even with a reference we were just knocking doors in an area and we found more of the family members and more people who want to listen to us! It was really cool and we had 5 investigators in church which was exciting. We have 2 investigators that could probably get baptized this month, Gabriela and Teresa. Theyre both really great but unfortunately Teresa didnt go to church this week. Thats all about what happened this week other than a whole lot of goodbyes to Elder Silva. O yeah I forgot! This was so awesome! The mission sent me back to Salta to renew my visa and I thought I was the only one going but I got to see all the missionaries from my MTC group it was super exciting to talk to all of them and see how they have changed. Seeing Elder Ramos again was great, hes such a funny guy, but the only bad thing is that I didnt take any pictures when we went. Sorry my last 2 letters have been kinda short, its been a crazy couple of days. Elder Carter and I have been rearranging our rooms I dont know why but its been fun! O yeah and I bought a little electric piano that Im gonna use to practice more hymns and then sell at the end of the mission. That reminds me, mom your story about the missionaries and their experiences with their investigators depicted exactly how it is. My comp sits in the corner and I sit at the piano and the whole sacrament meeting we are giving each other thumbs up or pointing or giving the “call them” sign. Its a pretty stressful hour sometimes. This last Sunday, Elder Pizarro and Elder Silva said goodbye in their testimonies and it gave me memories of when I left Concepcion because they were both crying and this was their first area. That reminds me too, apparently all the the Flores Family (from Concepcion) tells all the missionaries that come in I can do 200 pushups without stopping because when I went to Salta a missionary came up to me and said “the famous Elder Singer! how many pushups can you do without stopping?” And I looked at him and I had no idea what he was talking about but then he told me that he was in Concepcion and then I busted up laughing. I think the Floreses asked me one time what I did for exercises and now thats what they tell people haha. Well it looks like I thought of more great stuff to write, I hope everyone has a great day, Im probably gonna send some more sweet pics next week because my comp gave me some of the pics that he has. I love you guys.

Love,

Elder Singer

Dear Family,

Well if you haven´t noticed yet I finally got everything worked out with my camera, it was quite a pain but I was able to do it! If Elder Carter wasn´t such a computer geek I don´t think I would have been able to do it. But yes you´ll notice that I took some sweet pictures and did some cool stuff :). One of the very last ones with the pyramid is with Elder Johnson, that one´s for the Callisters. I think you´ll enjoy the pics more than my letter because a fun filled letter is looking a little doubtful today. Well, maybe but some of the things I´m going to talk about happened last week that I forgot about. O and great news!!! I found out today that our investigator, Gabriel in La Loma got baptized! I was really happy to find out, I really hope he serves a mission, he is such a good kid.

This is cool, I got bit by a dog!! There´s a funny saying between missionaries that says you don´t have to outrun the dog, just your companion. Just have that in mind has I tell you my story… We were running in the rain with Luis, back to the pension to go get jackets. I happened to be the furthest back and I heard a dog barking at us but I never really saw it but I felt him bite me on the leg. It wasn´t that bad, it still hasn´t healed but I´m going to be alright. We went by the church later that day and the members were there and I said to one of them a dog bit me that day and there was a big hush in the room and everyone was telling me I needed to go to the hospital right away but I called Hermana Northcutt and she said I´ll be just fine and so far I still don´t have lock jaw. We talked to the owners and the dog was vaccinated too but they really wanted me to go so I wouldn´t sue them. Another thing I´d like to address is the family picture. Everyone looks great! Except me… haha jk but really why´d yall but a goofy face pic of me on the thing, o well, ya fue. Also on the calendar for our family picture everyone looks great! Except its got me doing the blue steel look… o well, I thought it was kinda funny but I was just wondering why if it was a joke or something.

Something else exciting for me is that I cut Elder Carter´s hair! Your probably thinking its not that big but the thing is, is that he explained to me the technique how you do it with scissors on top and I did it. I was feeling pretty pro and he was laughing the whole time because he said I had this big grin of satisfaction on my face. I don´t know why it just felt like it was a great accomplishment never cutting hair with scissors when the day to day hair cut family member (this isn´t directed at dad I promise haha) is limited to the machine. I guess you just have to try it.

Well on with the week, something that was a little devastating was with Daniel. I remember in the class with Brother Bott he said sometimes it might be necessary to warn the people you teach about the temptations that follow after listening to the missionaries because the devil too knows the truth. Anyways, Daniel and Juana that went to church last week got into a fight the sunday after they went to church and separated. Luckily he ran into the other missionaries and told them when we would be able to find him. Later when we talked to him he told us the news and he said that his wife is nowhere to be found and she left him with their baby daughter and so he hasn´t been able to go to work. We have been pretty worried but we have been praying a ton for them and you guys need to pray for them too.

On the bright side, Gabriela has been progressing and she came to the english class we have been teaching! Unfortunately she didn´t come to church because she left for Cordoba. The rest of our investigators, they´re kind of there some are dropping out and but we are adding more. Thats the good thing is that we keep finding good people. The best guy we found this week is Yamil. We found him at 9:00 last night, taught him and he seems real excited to read the Book of Mormon. He told me he has gone to lots of churchs but can´t quite find any real answers. We told him to put himself in the shoes of Joseph Smith and when we gave him the Book of Mormon his eyes got really big and fixed on it.

Anyways I hope you all have a great week I love you guys!

Love,

Elder Singer

Dear Family,

Well this week was pretty cool. To be honest I can´t remember a whole lot of exciting stuff right now but I think the highlight was when I did divisions with Elder Carter.

Alright, these computers have turned off on me like 4 times I think I´m gonna come back later today and write you guys.

Love,

Elder Singer

Hey everyone! I´m back for just a second so I´ll tell you a little bit about my week. Something sad happened this week in a big family in the ward that is half active and half inactive, they have a little girl was about 3 years old fell from her bed while sleeping and it got really bad and she died a couple of days later. We went to the viewing (closed coffin) and there were lots of people from different religions. Our president read in the manual of the church apparently other churches can hold certain types of services if its in the cultural hall and I felt a little weird but the Catholic people stood around the coffin and said a bunch of prayers. After we did our part and my comp, the Bishop and I all got to speak to everyone about the Plan of Salvation! It was probably like 70ish people give or take a few and most of them weren´t members. I was really nervous but it was a great experience to teach and testify about God´s great eternal plan. The whole family came to church the next day and want to do whats right so they can live with their daughter again. We are now teaching 3 of them and they all have baptisimal dates! There´s was a couple of other good things that happened this week but this is all that time will allow for now. Dad I found your talk with Tim really interesting, I´ve had lots of similar ones. Well sorry this week was super brief! This week we find out transfers!! I´m kinda nervous and excited, I think I´m staying though and my comp thinks he´s leaving… we´ll see! I love you guys!

Love,

Elder Singer
